A
Perfect Man
I want to tell
you 'bout a man. This man from Galilee. He
is my Savior and my Lord. He gave us light to
see. He came to do His Father's
will, That only He could do, And lived a
mortal life, like us; With pain like me and
you. So special was this perfect
man, Who lived so long ago, His life was
an example of The path on which to
go. Within His life, sore trials
came But never changed His ways. He taught
us all that we must do, While living out our
days.
Then, in the Garden, late one
night, He bled from every pore. While
taking on Himself our sins, His agony was
sore. And then, in innocence, this
man Was scourged and beat by some. And
yet, He stood, in silent strength, When
others would have
run.
He, then, was taken to the
hill; Golgotha, it was named. And there,
they nailed Him to a cross. Unjustly, He was
blamed. He suffered much, for all
of us, Then died there on the cross. The
whole world shook and cried that day, While
morning His great loss. But, when
the days had numbered three, And to their
great surprise, He broke the bands of death
and rose Before the soldiers
eyes. Incase, this truth, you
haven't heard Or don't believe it's
true, This man is Jesus Christ our
Lord. And this, I swear to
you. He lived and died. I
know it's true. And still, He lives
today. And now, we have eternal
life Because He rose that
day. So, join with me and praise
His name; Our Lord, our God, our King.
Repent and seek His
guiding help, Through prayer and words
we sing.
